First Meeting - October 18, 2012

The first meeting of the Manchester Ideas Club will be on Thursday, October 18th at the Dog and Duck Public House (5340 - 2nd St. SW).  Topic: Governing Systems.

Topic Thoughts: For many a year, it has been thought that democratic capitalism was the pinnicle of social systems, allowing for independance and accountability.  Yet the world is shifting, demanding a change.  Might our resource scarcity require greater socialism? Should we give anarchy a chance? And where the heck are any decent philosopher kings?

Dinner ordered at 6:00 pm

Discussion put forth at 7:00 pm

The mission of the Manchester Ideas Club is to foster a salon atmosphere where concepts, theories and systems of a varied nature are explored with vim, vigour and passion.

The Manchester Ideas Club will meet on the third Thursday of the month at the Old Trout Puppet Workshop or another venue if required.
